For. Since. Ago

 🆎 The differences between for, since and ago

 

We use for and since to say how long, but there is a little difference between them.


We use for + a period of time

⭕️ For three Days

⭕️ For two years


We use since + the start of the period 

⭕️ Since Monday

⭕️ Since 9 o'clock


✅ ago= before now

      We use ago with the past


⭕️when did u go out? "Ten minutes ago" (=ten minutes before now)

⭕️ I started my new job three weeks ago.(=three weeks before now)
